Your Cycle, Explained
Your hormones move in waves.

A typical 28-day cycle
Hormone levels · Day 1–28
Cortisol level
NormalChronic stress raises cortisol, which suppresses GnRH — the master signal for ovulation. That blunts the LH surge, impairs follicle development, and weakens the corpus luteum (your progesterone factory). The curves above reflect how dramatically each hormone responds: LH surge is hit hardest, then progesterone, then estrogen, then FSH.
I'm taking Inositol
Insulin sensitivity (the blue dashed line) rises with estrogen and drops with progesterone — meaning your body is naturally more insulin-resistant in the late luteal phase. Stress makes it worse. Inositol supports steadier insulin signaling across the cycle.
